Summit this Sunday at Kailua Elementary School
Learn about what climate change means for Kailua and beyond at the Windward Climate Change Summit, 3-5 p.m., Sunday, November 23 at Kailua Elementary School (315 Ku‘ulei Road). Sponsored by the Windward Climate Change Hui, the summit features speakers from the Kanu Hawai‘i, NOAA, Blue Planet Foundation and others, who will be sharing their knowledge on climate change.
“The Windward Climate Change Hui, a group of concerned residents, is excited to bring seven expert speakers and involved organizations to our own community. We would like all Windward residents to be informed, connect and find the way in which each of us can be part of the solution,” shares Lisa Marten, Windward Climate Change Hui member. “The speakers will share research on the ongoing climate change in Hawai‘i and what can be done, followed by an opportunity to connect with local organizations already working on the problem.”
